Widescreen Preview in iDVD from Standard 4:3 import ??????

I have exported a quicktime movie from Final Cut HD to use in iDVD. It is a duplicate of a similar project that works fine. When I link it and play it in iDVD it plays as Widescreen!! I have checked and re-checked all the possible checkboxes to display it in Standard / Widescreen in both Final Cut and iDVD yet it still plays Widescreen. Any suggestions as to the cause and consequently the fix?
