Widget & Safari Font Problem

I'm having a strange issue with the calendar and weather widgets as well as the Apple-Dashboard page on Safari. The font on both widgets and the Safari page has changed. I know it's a Helvetica Extended font that I've installed which is causing the problems (I need the font family for work so I can't just uninstall it). Any idea why this is happening or how I can fix it?

I've attached a couple of examples.
