So, i relaunched finder while watching a movie in QT and now for some reason i have a widget stuck on my desktop, and is always on top.

i've tried pretty much all that i could think of so i really need your help, im sending some screen shots.

And it still works!
 
No offense if you've done this already, but did you try restarting the system? Might want to list the steps you did take.

edit: ah, sorry, I see you tried reinstalling iLife.

i was installing the 09 version for the first time.because the computer works just fine but that thing bothers me.

here's what i did(almost in that order):

-quit my user session and start a new sessiona
-close the widget
-relaunched finder
-restart the mac
-tried to manually kill the dashboard process with activity monitor
-updated the os
-post on MR.

now what should i do?:confused:
 
From what I know of moving widgets between the desktop and dashboard, all i can suggest is the following.


Click and hold the widget (so you can move it around ;) )
While holding it, open dashboard (default F12)
Let go of the widget.
Now go back to your desktop and it should be back to normal.
