widgets suddenly dont connect to internet

what did I do? tried to adjust some proxy settings, but all is back to the original settings.

anyway, the widgets show up, but trying to connect to a server - e.g. google news - an empty safari error page shows up.

what could it be?!

Do you have Cable or Dsl or Dial-up or whatever you have?

Can you connect normally via Safari or something? Are you running Little Snitch and did you disallow something?
