wierd scrolling issue in finder.

I've always had a wierd problem with finder, when Im scrolling down through folders/file lists, it suddenly jumps back to the top.

Any ideas?

Nope, they're fully cheesed up and working fine in every other app. its literally JUST finder.

How old is your mac?
What OS X are you running?

Tried to replicate the scenario on a 2014 MBA 13" running Mavericks, didn't happen to me. Are you using only mouse or have you tried using trackpad? If you've only been using mouse, try with the trackpad and see what happens.

ok worked it out.

I've got hidden files set to show in finder and my default view was set to sort by date modified. Those really helpful .ds_store files were screwing things up.

Temporary fix is just to sort by kind instead. Now to look into .ds_store and work out if they're really needed.
