I kind of gave up dealing with the stupidness of this launch, I have an ipad on order from Apple that ships out April 11 so I figured I'd hunker down and just enjoy it when it gets here.
My wife surprised me today though. She went down to the Apple store at around 8:30 and sat in line for me, as she had called earlier and they told her they finally got some ATT units in. She was about 35th in a line that was virtually all asians. At the point she was 2nd in line they only had one verizon and one ATT ipad left and sure enough the woman in front of her was vacillating between ATT and verizon. Woman ended up with the verizon one and my wife snatched up the ATT one. She came home and told me she went to the Apple store and came back empty handed, but put the ipad in the microwave and told me my food was ready.
I'm very much enjoying it, a decent bit faster than the 1st one but otherwise really not much difference, definitely makes me wonder if it was worth selling my old one and paying the almost $300 difference to upgrade. I got a leather smart cover and I kinda like it, even though I thought I wouldn't, but I still think Apple should have made a case for it. I'm leaving the plastic backing on for now even though it looks ghetto.
