wifi and edge not working on my iphone 4(on tmobile)

For a little while I had my iphone 4 working on t mobile's edge and wifi with no problems but for some reason neither are now working.

It shows that I have a wifi connection (in settings>network) but when I open Safari or any other program, I get a "no internet connection" message. The same goes for Tmobile's edge, though I do see the "E" sign.

Do I need to wipe out all programs and start over or is there a program that can remedy? Please help!

yes.i just tried it. but still no change

for those struggling with similar issues, i ended up resetting "all" settings and took the sim out and reloaded it. its now working.
