iPod touch wifi anywhere access work around for Ipod touch?

Has anyone tried this:

I'm currently with Sprint and was thinking about getting the iphone. But then I ran across a software program for Windows Mobile devices and turning the WM phone into a wifi router.

So what about keeping sprint phone...installing this wifi router software and using the touch off that?
