WiFi auto-connect bug

What’s going on with iOS 11. I keep having an issue where the WiFi tries to auto-connect to whatever WiFi is around and then when I try to use my phone it won’t work properly. I keep having to turn WiFi off. It’s frustrating. Otherwise I love iOS 11. :D
 
It's been mentioned here multiple times.. The wifi button in control centre simply disconnects it doesn't shutoff the radio. The handset will connect or try to connect to the next available network. Shut off completely needs to be done in the settings.
