Wifi broadcasting

Hi there,
i have done some research but have not found the solution to my problem just yet.

At my house my iMac can receive wifi signal but my iPhone cannot (I'm assuming the wireless card or something like that is stronger in the iMac).
So I'm trying to use the wifi signal the iMac gets and rebroadcast to my iPhone.

so wifi internet-imac-wireles network. I know that is not possible directly,
could i go wifi internet-imac-router-iphone?
