Thanks. It was unclear on Apple's website and I couldn't find any comparison using the search function. Looks like a good enough reason to upgrade from my 5 and ditch my land line. ;)

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. Oh well. I have crappy cell service at my home and that has kept me from cutting the line. Looks like I'll need to continue to wait.

So I presume that Verizon Wifi calling does not exist for the 5S and above?

no verizon does not offer wifi calling at this time.

what type of home internet connection do you have?

Is your home address the billing address on your ATT account?

ATT sells something called a microcell. It is a cell tower you hookup to your router to provide service in your home. ATT will sometimes offer them free if service at your home is subpar(I believe if the home is your billing address). If not you can purchase one, I paid under $100 a few years ago.

here is the ATT link about it:

I have DSL through my local carrier, Consolidated Communications. I don't have AT&T for my home carrier. My home address is my billing address. I'll check into that.

The microcell is from ATT wireless, not ATT home internet. You said you don't have good cell reception in your house. It connects to your internet and provides a cell signal inside your home. It doesn't cost anything extra monthly, and you don't need the extra plan that is available with it.

I was asking about your internet because you need a minimum speed for it to function correctly.

Got it. So this basically gives you your own personal cell wifi network in your home. Does anyone know what the current cost is? I see there's a $75 rebate but no price.
