wifi channel problem

HI at all, I have a problem with wifi card, the 12/13 channel is not enable, so I don't see any network on channel 12/13, there is a way for enable it?

Channels 12/13 are not enabled in the North American standard of WiFi adapters.

Did you purchase your MBP from North America? I think these limitations are hardware and not software, but I am not sure. Sorry.
