Hi guys,
The problem is that my 5 GHz Wifi connection (don't yet know whether it's also the case with the 2.4 GHz connection) suddenly gets lost sometimes.
Strange thing #1: It still shows a decent signal strength in the menu bar icon. I just e. g. can't open any websites. It loads and loads forever.
Strange thing #2:The 5 GHz connection is almost completely rock solid on my iPhone. So just the MacBook Pro has a problem with it. Thinking about it again that's not really the case. Sometimes on my phone the connection drops too but: On my phone it's completely gone then (switches to LTE) and then automatically back to the Wifi network.
What I can do to get the connection back:
- Switch to the 2.4 GHz connection and back
- Disable and re-enable Wifi
Then (sometimes) the complete same thing happens again a few seconds later. Sometimes the connection is fine for like an hour or so.
So, based on the symptoms, does anyone have any idea what might be the culprit and how to solve the problem?
Thanks and best wishes
Chris
Edit: I'm running macOS 10.15.3 but I have this problem since forever
Luckily I'm connected to LAN most of the time.
