I believe that the wifi hardware is the same with macbooks...if not my bad.
On my imac if i disconnect from my wifi and try to reconnect i get "cannot connect to the *** network. Connection timeout" I think i try to delete it from wifi/advanced settings but doesn't work. I resolved it only if i change my name and passwrd from my router.
Any help or walk around without router access? Or this is a MacOs issue? I have ML 10.8.3

Thank you

To completely reset Network Settings delete (Or Move to another place for if does not work) the following Folder and restart:

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

ALL settings are lost unless you move the Folder back in place.
