Wifi data when disabled.

Just noticed the weather app complication updates, even when WiFi and Bluetooth are switched off and my Watch is in airplane mode, is this normal?

As long as the watch has connected to the WiFi before, this happens.

I use the watch as an alarm when I goto sleep and don’t like the idea of WiFi data being sent or received as I’m sleeping. I thought airplane mode switched everything off.

Any ideas?

iOS 13 and watchOS 6 will remember Bluetooth settings in airplane mode (either on or off). Activate airplane mode, then go and manually turn off BT. It should remember this next time you turn airplane mode on.

I rarely use Bluetooth so it’s always disabled on my iPhone and watch.

The data being sent is via WiFi, which is turned off on my watch.
