so i think i saw a thread about this when 2.2 was released, but i cant find it now

anyways ever since i updated to 2.2, iphone doesnt catch wifi right away. I have to unlock the phone, then wait about 10-15 sec for it to catch the signal

It was fine before 2.2...did reset and restores, and it fixes it temporary, but goes back to being crappy again

any ideas???????? maybe it was solved in the old thread, but cant find it anymore

Thanks

Hmm, weird. Is this only with your wifi network or does it happen with every one? If its only yours, then I suggest you try changing what type of security you have on it (WEP,WPA,etc), if you don't have any then secure it:p

I have the same issue, but I live with it. I'm never really in much of a rush to browse on my phone, but it is an annoyance nonetheless. Oddly enough, switching from WEP to WPA/WPA2 networks exacerbated the problem.

Is your wifi network hidden as that will slow down the initial connection ?

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5G77 Safari/525.20)

I also have the same problem. But, I deal with it because it doesn't bother me.
