WiFi, E, or 3G - Which is the best choice

Living in Denver, I have 3G the majority of the time. When I am home I seem to only connect to E. I do have the option at home to use my wireless network and switch to WiFi. I am not sure which is the best option. If you can switch to WiFi is that better or faster than staying on E, or 3G? Sorry if this is a basic question, but am new to the iPhone and not sure which is best.

Depending on your provider your Wi-FI will be faster then 3G.

Wifi, in addition to being a bit faster, may use less battery power than does 3G.
