In Settings, is Wi-Fi not active? Meaning does it do nothing if you tap on it? If tapping on it takes you to the Wi-Fi Network page, then make sure it's ON, and choose a network. There is a redundant Network option under General, which if turned off there may gray out the Wi-Fi option in Settings. You might also check your General Restrictions to see if they have been enabled.

Hope that helps.

Thx The wifi settings bar is greyed out I cant access it. Ive reset, and still no joy.

Ive read here that a couple of people have been told by apple that its an internal defect and had to have them replaced. Ugh!

But yea, tapping on it doesnt do anything. Its like the option is NOT an option. ANd I did find both areas that address the wifi/network with no luck

Thanks again

Plug in your iPod and select it in iTunes. Click the giant button that says Restore.

Oh ok I did do that I thought maybe there was a process on JUST the itouch. Liek downgrading the firmware or something

Thanks!!
