iPod touch WIFI @ home, but not at other hot spots

I have had my Itouch for about 3 mos. For the last week or so, WIFI won't work at Micky D's, Starbucks and couple of Hot Spots I used before.
Works fast and fine at home and at my dau's house.
At Micky's D's ect, the window on the screen the saz.. connection made, but it won't connect as before.
I turned the unit off and turned WIFI off and on.. it still won't work.
Any suggestions?

most wifi spots need authorisation these days before you're allowed on. check with their systems admin next time you're there.

I used to have a problem connecting but not since the last software update not sure why you would have a problem suddenly.


Don't you have to make a purchase to use McDonalds and Starbucks wifi?

I have AT&T DSL at home.
With that I can use MickyD's and Starbucks wift. I use my SBC name and password.
Yesterday I picked up other free wifi locations. Today I went to the Apple store and asked why I had a problem. The guy said, if I get wift at home and other locations, it probably the router in the business not the itouch. That sounds right.
Also he said if I think I have a problem, they will run a free test to find out it something is wrong with my itouch.
