WiFi-icon always visible to show WiFi on?

I have searched and searched, but not found a solution. Maybe i'm lousy at searching

Is it possible to have a WiFi-icon visible on the status bar, even if I'm not connected to a network? Just to show that WiFi is on.

Like we have for Bluetooth. Grey when no devices connected, white when a device is connected.

Not sure about Jailbroken iPhones but you definitely cannot on a stock firmware iPhone.
