My wifi stopped working quite a while ago, but I didn't mind too much as I was writing my thesis, and it was nice not to be distracted, but now that I'm done I'd very much like my wifi back. I'm using an early 2011 MBP 15", and from what I can tell from other posts here and elsewhere, is that my airport cable (821-1311-A) needs replacing. But that cable is supposed to be for both wifi and bluetooth, yet my bluetooth works fine. Of all the other posts I've found that have the same wifi issues and symptoms as me, none mention bluetooth. When the wifi stopped working, it did so intermittently, a reboot or two would fix it, and then eventually ten reboots would fix it, and now it hasn't worked for about a year. My Mac now behaves like there is no wifi hardware (in system report and System Preferences -> Network).

So, might that part fix my issues, even though bluetooth continue to work, or should I look for another solution?

Thank you :)
