So I'm in my local bar that has wifi for the customers to use. Normally I don't have my MBO with me, usually just my iPhone.

Tonight I was ther with my MBP. My iPhone connected as normal but could I get my MBP to connect? No way.

I find this rather strange.

Can anyone offer any insight or advice?

The network does require a password to connect but I just cannot connect.

Help!

Glad you got it fixed, and just FYI

Bumps. Posts that bring a thread to the top of the New Posts list but add no content to the thread (bumps) are not permitted. This applies not only to posts that say "bump" but to those with the intent to bump, e.g. posts saying "anyone?" or the equivalent.

I think as long as it's a legitimate issue he has a right to bump. In this case he was able to solve his issue because of it. Otherwise, posts like "Do people think you're super cool for having a macbook pro" will bury posts that actually deserve attention.

If you believe this, then have MR change their rules and let us know when you're successful.

Yawn.

Fixed it myself WITHOUT the help of Macrumors members and get a warning for a bump?

What does that say to me?

I'll let you guys think of the answer...
