So I cannot connect to my wifi at work. I have the password, but when it connects it just gives me a "!" in the wifi symbol in the menu bar. The network preferences window says "Wi-Fi has the self-assigned IP address and will not be able to connect to the Internet." Is there any way I can restore my network so that it was like it was before, where all I had to do was enter the password and I was connected? I dont have another wifi network to use right now for a restore, and would not like to continue using bluetooth from my phone.

Within the network preferences pane, make sure WiFi is selected and under IP Address, change the drop-down menu from Manually to DHCP.
