Wifi issues with mavericks?

I mostly keep my mbp classic 2012 in sleep mode and lately when I type in my password and wait for the home screen to come on the wifi does not always connect.

I have to restart and that usually fixes the issue, most of the time sometimes it takes two restarts to connect. Once connected the wifi is consistent. I'm using last years time capsule/airport for my router.

All the idevices in the house are fine and never lose wifi connectivity.

Not really sure how to diagnose this issue?

Other have reported this latest release is causing various wifi issues. In my case after I wake it takes about 10 seconds for the wifi to reconnect.

Thanks for the reply. When mine connects it's very fast and when it won't it will display all the nearby networks including mine but I get an exclamation point over the empty wifi bars.
