So I noticed the maps app that's built into the touch can give a location of where you are when connected to wifi. So as an experiment I decided to drive around the block to see if it could follow my location. It did so flawlessly.

What disturbed me was once I drove outside the range of my wifi network the little blue dot still kept track of where I was...roughly but accurate enough. I drove for four miles around town and it could track where I was. How could this be? I was clearly not connected to any wifi on the drive and from what I know there is no gps built into the touch.
