So

I have another one of those macbook pros with wifi dropping.

Ive read everything, everywhere, and tried every recommended fix I could find, then started trying my own.

The problem, incase someone isnt familiar, is wifi continuously dropping, then not allowing you to switch it back on. The symptoms point to a loose wifi card, but the issue is actually something software related - at least I think.

I have this: Model: - MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)

So - Ive found a fix, but its extremely annoying to have to do it all the time. Noone else Ive found has had to do this, so in this new territory Im hoping someone in this forum might be suffering the same annoying problem, and this fix might work for them, and equally that someone out there knows WHY this occurs and how to fix me having to delete something and restart every time I want wifi.

When I get the 'no wifi hardware installed' issue, if I go into network pref/ then hit the little gear icon, then manage virtual interfaces, then delete thunderbolt bridge, then restart, that the only way I can get wifi back. It seems to drop for no reason whatsoever, but always when waking from sleep.

Ive tried deleting SC folder, resetting pram and SMC, a new wifi connection, even opened the machine to make sure wifi card wasnt loose, updated to new OS (yosemite), deleted original user account and added new one, put wifi on top in the 'set service order' category - everything.

Anyone else found the same fix as me, or have any input as to why this could occur?

thnx
