WiFi not appearing at all in settings - stuck

I need to unlock this iPhone 3GS running a iOS5 tethered JB.
Problem is that in the Settings, the WiFi option is totally absent, not greyed-out, just not there at all, so I can't download Ultrasn0w from the Cydia screen.
If someone has an idea how to solve this, please help.
