Hey just posting with something I found out at my friend's condo this week.
I have the baseline 2011 MBP and he has the baseline 2010. Both computers are in perfect condition so no drops or anything like that.
The condo itself doesn't come with wifi (in the room) so we had to search local signals to get it.
I could pick up signals that would give me very fast speeds while his computer could either not see them or when connected, would barely load google if anything at all.
Just a heads up for anyone on the fence between the two models; the 2011s have a vastly better wifi radio in them.
Of course, if you aren't needing to pick up stray wifi at any time (like, outside of the building you're in) you don't have to worry about this
