Wifi on white macbook slow

Hello, i have a white mid 2007 macbook with Lion. I recently sold it to my friend who is trying to connect to his router via wifi. He has a 4S and iPad 2 which connect perfectly fine. the macbook shows that its connected and diagnostics say he is connected fine as well. Unfortunately he cannot load pages without it taking a couple minutes (google or yahoo). He has renewed his DHCP lease as well as reset router/modem. Any info at all is appreciated, tia!

any guesses on what the issue might be? He checked 3 or 4 different wifi locations and they all work perfectly fine other than his apartment. any ideas are appreciated!

I just posted a thread about Lion Wifi problems and this fix. Tell him to go to this link, and go to the bottom and read the last paragraph and do what it says. I'm almost sure this will work. Enjoy.
