I want to buy an iPhone and I like the fact that it has wifi. I go to a University with wifi all over and I have wifi at home, so I don't want the data plan. I wen to the retailer to go get one and told the sales person that I would don't want the data plan because I will use the iPhone in wifi areas, especially on campus. The sales person has an iPhone and they had problems connecting to the internet on the wifi on my campus. The salesperson said that they were able to connect, but when they went on Safari nothing loaded. On my campus you have to put in a user name and password, but you just go through the internet browser. Would this be a problem with her phone or settings or do you think it will not work for any iPhone? A friend of mine has a touch and he had no problems going on the internet.
Just wondering.
Thanks
