Wifi Protected Setup help

I'm house sitting for a friend and I don't really have contact with him and his router naturally is protected but he told me to just connect via WPS. however i can not get it to connect. Any ideas?

What do you mean, 'can't get it to connect'? Surely you need a passcode?

yes Im provided the pin but Os x only allows me to enter the password not the pin. For example on my xoom you can changed the setup to wps pin and enter that instead.

maybe i should clarify. I mean connecting vis WPS which is like the quick connect feature on routers by pressing a button and entering a pin. This i cant get to work, i have no access to the actual password to the wifi.

Oh, I see. You could tether your xoom to your MacBook, there's apps in the market for that.
