Wifi question

I have an app for the wife's volvo, so I can lock her doors, start her car etc. It has worked with no issues, but of late, I went to use it and got "no internet connection," it wouldn't connect as it has always done. I do have the latest ios. So eventually I contacted Volvo and they said to turn off the wifi and it should work. It did. I was home with my modem/router maybe 2 feet away. Strange I never thought of it. I have always enabled wifi on the phone and never had that problem. Leads to the question, I have Verizon with unlimited access and should I have the wifi off at home ?

Router > Internet. Verizon cellular > Internet. That why Volvo app work. Reboot your router. More than likely Wi-Fi work now too.

My router is fine. It is a quirk of the IOS 18 and their app it seemed. All good now
