Does anyone know if there is a way to share your iPhone connection (iPhone connected to MacBook via usb) using yosemite's internet sharing? It looks like you can do it, but when I try to then the ssid doesn't show up. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?? Has anyone done this?

I like to use usb to connect my iPhone's wireless. Using the instant hotspot feature on the iPhone is hit or miss.

The MBP can act as a router with internet sharing, but it isn't a very good one.

In a word no

Internet sharing shares your macs internet connection with other devices not the other way round.
