Hi,
I'm using a MAC OS X, 10.4.11 desktop and am trying to share my wifi with my pc laptop. All the directions I read online state to go to System Preferences>Sharing>Internet Sharing and then internet sharing is turned on. However, this does not work. I've tried to connect by manually connecting with the pc laptop and enter the password for my Wifi, but it does not work. Any ideas?
My MAC does not include "Internet Sharing" on the regular sharing menu, but instead has three parts on top titled Sharing/Firewall/Internet. So I click internet, selected Ethernet 1 and 2 to be shared, but still does not work.

heres an idea. update your ancient operating system

Wow.

Using a friends computer. Your advice comes off a little rude Big Mac. Oh well.

PowerPC 10.4.11 = no WiFi

heres an idea. update your ancient operating system

BigMac - the PowerPC G5's purchased for $3,500.00 before 2004 are virtually worthless today, as Apple has stopped making upgrades for the operating system. 10.4.11 is as high as we can go. No WiFi, no FlashPlayer, and no ProTools.

I also was unable to utilize my wifi printer with my 10.4.11 G5 with Airport Extreme. When I purchased it at BestBuy the Apple rep was there and ASSURED me that it would work. So we email docs to our iMac and print from there.

I have never been able to find out why the WiFi doesn't work.
