Tonight I had lots of trouble trying to download iOS7 via iTunes. Each time, after 5-10 minutes or so, the download would repeatedly timeout with a "Network connection lost" message.

Then while looking around in my iPhone I went to General>Software Update and saw the gears spinning and that a download was actually in process.

I'm not sure but it looks like the software upgrade download over WiFi happens automatically and when I went to iTunes to force a download it didn't stop me and tell me there was already one in process that was already being transferred to my phone over WiFi.

It would be helpful if they made clear the two different options and not let you try them both at once. (if that is actually what is happening and was causing the timeouts)
