Wifi stops working if mail is open

Anyone else noticing this on mavericks? If mail is open, after 5-10 minutes, wifi won't work and browsers will time out. But once mail is closed, wifi works fine.
 
Figured this out. Uninstalled mail and used Outlook 2011. Works fine now, no wifi drops.
