Hi gang,
I think I know the answer, but I'm not totally sure. My wife has a MB Pro and iPhone4. The only way I can get WiFi Sync to work is if I plug the MB Pro into an ethernet connection.
The iPhone does not have to be plugged into anything for this to work properly, i.e. I've got all the setup options configured correctly.
Basically, two WiFi devices can't talk to each other, the MB Pro must be hardwired for the iPhone4 to find it, and vice versa. I do have the MB Pro firewall set to disable.
Is this because my router does not support UPnP? I have tried opening up ports on the router, but that did not help at all.
I use WiFi sync with both my iPad2/iPhone4, but my host machine is a Mac mini 2011, and of course connected via ethernet.
