Turn airplane mode off.

airplane mode disables ALL the radios, including WIFI, BT, Phone

So if i turn off airplane mode then i am going to have to pay crazy data fees since im out of the country right?

Fyi im confused bout "airplane mode turns off wifi" since im on wifi right now, i would think wifi to wifi facetime wouldnt be an issue regardless if im in airplane mode

Just turn of dataconnetions (if you have ios 4 there is tab for it) then you wont get any crazy data fees(no data will run when connections are off :) ) and you can still use your phone as a phone if you want to (expensive i know) no need for aiplane mode ,then just find wifi and then you should be able to make facetime calls.

unless your phone is UL and JB and your facetime has disapeared like mine is :(

go to:

settings -> general -> network and turn off cellular data

then facetime over wifi. i wonder if you'll still get charged for an international phone call though
