So I go to bed and turn on Silent Mode and Theatre Mode and my wifi off from Control Centre but find every morning when I wake up wifi is on - What gives ?

not sure why you turn it off, If your phone is close, your watch will use bluetooth, and the wifi isn't powered on.
It might have be enabled, but if you see the green phone icon, the wifi isn't actually running.

don't know why it's coming back on though.

Wifi has worked that way on the phone and watch for a few years now. When you turn off wifi using the Control Center, it's temporarily off until the next morning at 5AM, when it turns on again. This is by design. If you want wifi permanently off you have to do it from Settings. I don't know why you'd want to turn wifi off though.

Just thought as it was overnight whilst I was sleeping I might as well save some power if its in silent and theatre mode but presumably that is zero or negilble ?

yes, on turning off wifi,
one small exception, if your phone runs out of battery overnight, then your watch will kick on it's wifi, using more battery.

theatre mode is useful since it stops the display from coming on, and turns off always-on if you have one.

you can also use shortcuts with personal automations on the phone to turn theatre mode on/off at certain times or as part of a "good night" routine, so you don't have to go into the watch's control center every time.

Hijacking, but why leave WiFi on? I was having this issue and posted about it because every time I’d get away from WiFi, my watch would lose connection to my phone. Now I just turn it off at home, so I can make sure my watch is connected via bluetooth.

Is there a reason it’s better to have WiFi on? Just wondering, and sorry for the hijack.

Bluetooth is best if your phone is nearby because it uses less power. But if your phone is in another part of the house, it may be too far away for the Bluetooth connection to work. WIFI works over a longer distance. That said, if your watch prefers WIFI even when your phone is very close, there may be a deeper problem.
