Well I have a 17 inch iMac and a brand new Wii and I was wondering if it's possible to use my iMac display as a Wii display? I am guessing not but I just want to make sure.

Yes, you need an EyeTV Hybrid (http://www.elgato.com/). They're not cheap, and I don't have one, but I've heard they work well.
