Wii - toughest console this gen?

Caroline's sister accidentally dropped a TV on her Wii. We're talking a heavy 26¨ Tube TV too, from about 4' off the floor !
The only damage being to the corner of the GC port area. The flap doesn't close now but the system still works fine! Yet another Nintendo system built to survive the apocalypse?

I've gone and smashed my Wii controller into the cieling too and that still works. But I suppose controllers have to be built tough...

Personal withstanding damage has never been a huge selling point for me, as I don't plan to move my Wii much

The TV was totaled after it rolled off and crushed Caroline's sister's foot and their dog.

My Nintendo Power has a story of a Wii that survived a car accident.

Not a good idea in practice, as the weight will push down on the top, which could damage both the DVD-ROM drive and the hard disk drive.

I'd say my 360 is pretty tough.

It's an early model and it has managed to hold off from the red ring of death for nearly two years.
