Ever since installing 17.0.3 on my iphone 13, I have been experiencing wild fluctuations in storage used by various apps. My Contacts have swelled to 1.01 GB. Just earlier today it was around 80MB. My banking app is at 840 MB which is way crazy. I have uninstalled several apps and brought them down to normal levels, but my top 5 largest apps seem to grow and shrink wildly for no reason. Has anyone else experienced this?

I experience the same thing on my iPhone 13 Mini, on iOS 17.0.3. In my case, it is the Phone app, which has gradually grown to 2.3GB - it should normally only take up 10-15MB.

I also created a thread here:

I have found that every time I open the phone app, and open a contact that has had a poster or call picture added, a little extra data is added to the phone app.

I think the same goes for your apps. It's definitely a bug and it will probably be fixed the next time you update your iPhone and the large amount of memory your apps are taking up will be freed up.
