Will 2G cases fit a new 3G iPod Touch?

I want to order one of the new 32/64GB iPod touches and the apple store and pretty much everywhere else are only selling 2G cases or haven't updated their sites.

Apple didn't change the dimensions of the new iPod Touches did they? And the 2G cases will still fit the new 3G ones?

2G case won't fit my 3G

Just received a case that says it's for a 2G, 32gb itouch. Mine is a 3G. Will not close. Unless the case is faulty, the 3G is slightly larger.

Yes, the case will fit well but hard cases may not fit! I just got one silicone ipod case for my 2nd gen ipod touch, it said it fits both 2nd and 3rd gen models, plus I took my ipod out and put it next too the newer ones and there was no difference.
