I have a iPhone and on AT&T it does not get very good reception. Will the new iPhone with its plastic housing have better reception? I read somewhere that the plastic housing was for better reception, is this true?

It works fine outside of my office but in my office, reception is spotty. I may be dead in the water for a new iPhone. I even tried a signal booster to no avail. I do have VZ service and a BB thru them and it works great in my office.

It should be true.

But if you live in an area with poor AT&T coverage, the plastic is not going to help you.

Yup yup. Plastic will just allow a better signal to get to the internal antenna. In fact, I wish I could find it now, but I did read that some folks who got their hands on them for an early mini-review did notice a better reception.
