My current iPhone cell reception sucks real bad in the area I live though it is a close suburb of a major metro. Once I drive down the road half a mile, then the cell coverage is excellent ( all bars whereas in my area it is usually one or two ). In my home area, calls get dropped, audio quality is poor etc.
I am curious if the 3G network has anything to do with the coverage and quality of the voice service or it is still the same towers? If there is any hope of improved service, that will be a good motivation to get on to the 3G iPhone.
