I guess Apple will release an iPhone 4S 8GB like they have done in the past when the iPhone 5 comes out but, but will they (and/or the networks) reduce the prices of their existing stock?

I'm considering trying to get a 4S 32GB (8GB is nowhere near enough for me!) if the next model is the rumoured tall version, but would hope these might be reduced in price? Or is it wishful thinking?!

Your guess is as good as mine. That's probably what they will do.

iPhone 4: 8GB (Free)
iPhone 4s: 8GB ($100)
iPhone 6th Generation: 16GB ($200), 32GB ($300), 64GB ($400)

^ with a contract. They will cover all prices, all storage sizes, and two screen sizes.

Yes, I guess they won't keep the 4s 32GB, but I don't know how easy it is to get existing stock of this when the 6th gen comes out.

Oh, and I was looking at getting it sim-free.

They might have some refurbished iPhone 4s'? Verizion iPhone has the sim built in, is that what you mean?

Yes it did. When the 4S was released Apple dropped the price of the 4 to £429.

But isn't that the 8GB iphone 4? I was hoping to get a 32GB for less than the £599 it is now.

Yes it was. Who knows what capacity models of the 4S Apple will keep when the next iPhone is released. I have a feeling they may stop the 32 and 64GB of the 4S and only have a 16GB available.

3GS - Gone
iPhone 4 8GB - Free
iPhone 4S (will most likely be reduced to 8GB, or will only have the 16GB one available) - $99 ($549)

New iPhone - $199 ($649), $299 ($749), $399 ($849)

I would not bother listing the capacities, because I am hoping REALLY hoping for a 128GB iPhone, if not, I'll settle for 64 :)

With LTE, they all will utilize the SIM card, no matter the carrier, so hope to unlocking them will be possible for traveling right off the bat.
