Will 64 bit apps be able to run in 32 bit mode?

When leopard ships and apps start shipping 64 bit versions, they will likely be fat binaries that include both 32 and 64 bit code, similar to the apps today that have both PPC and intel.

For apps like this, is there an option to run the app in 32 bit mode similar to the option to universal apps in rosetta on intel macs?

Also, are there any apps shipping from anyone that include 64 bit versions already? I know the 64 bit code would only be available to those running the Leopard beta.
