I’m visiting my parents and helping my dad (who is 85) with some computer issues. He has a late 2012 i5 Mac mini, which I just updated to Mojave. He uses it only for web browsing, email, photos, and watching YouTube videos, so it’s fine for his needs. He has a 2003 Apple iSight camera from his previous 2004 Mac mini. He doesn’t have a FireWire cable, though. Before I go out and buy one, I’m trying to find out if it will even work. He’d use it for FaceTime with me. I know the resolution wouldn’t be great, but something would be better than nothing.

I can't answer this for sure, as I have not used Mojave, but I have used an external iSight camera on high sierra.

I don't know what would prevent it from working on Mojave.

I too have a 2003 iSight connected to my late 2012 Mac mini running Catalina. Ever since I updated to Catalina, the microphone doesn’t work, video is fine but without the mic it’s useless. Still trying to find a solution
