Will a 6Gb/s SSD work in a black macbook?

I have a 2008 2.4 Gb black macbook. I understand it can't take full advantage of a 6Gb/s drive, but does anyone know if it will even work in my macbook? I want to install it as a stop gap, and then transfer the drive to a 2011 Macbook Pro when I purchase it later on. The drive I am thinking of is this:
