I use a Dell CRT with my iMac 20" using a DVI-VGA converter. It's on its last legs though so I need to replace it. I'm considering the Acer AL2216WBD 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor.

I wanted to know if anyone thought this would be an unwise choice. It has a DVI-D port; will I be able to use the included DVI cable to directly connect the LCD to the iMac?

TIA,
David

YEs it will work. Whether or not it is a bad decision... It depends on what you do. It is a TN panel which means it isn't good for photo editing, etc. There are other threads about panels, and check out hardforum.com. I am pretty sure there is a thread about the model you want. Very good information there on displays.
